Public Lands, Immigration, Climate Change…
The LCV Has Got You Covered
The League of Conservation Voters has three simple email campaigns that you easily participate in which will open the door to future actions as well. Below are quick descriptions of the actions and links to each.
Tell Senators: Protect Public Lands and Clean Energy Incentives
House Republicans narrowly passed the most anti-environmental bill ever in the dead of night. Their billionaire tax scam will open more public lands to destructive fossil fuel drilling, increase costs to consumers, and make our air and water dirtier. And the same bill will give massive tax breaks to billionaires and Big Polluters.
Senators will soon begin negotiating on the bill — they need to hear from us. We can’t afford to let them put our economy and our future at risk — tell your senators to oppose ANY attempt to gut environmental and public lands protections and clean energy incentives.
Tell the Senate: Stop the SAVE Act
The House voted 220-208 to pass the SAVE Act, their radical, restrictive voter ID law.
The SAVE Act would require all voters to prove their citizenship by presenting a passport or birth certificate — documents many U.S. voters don’t have. They would be required to do so in person when registering to vote or when updating their voter registration information. The legislation would prevent registering to vote by mail and online — and effectively end voter registration drives nationwide.
Senate Democrats have said they’ll block the bill, but we can’t take anything for granted — we have to do everything we can to prevent it from moving forward. If the SAVE Act becomes law, tens of millions of eligible voters — especially seniors, veterans, women, students, and rural voters — could be blocked from casting their ballots. But here’s the catch: this vote will require 60 votes to pass in the Senate, which means we have a real chance to stop it.
Tell your senators to block the SAVE Act.
Tell Congress to Stand Strong for Climate
With an anti-environment President and congressional leadership, climate solutions are under attack.
President Trump has calls climate change a hoax, tells oil companies he’ll do their bidding, is slashing protections on clean air and water, undermining investments in clean energy and weakening the protections keeping Americans safe from extreme weather. We must stand together and fight back!
Make your voice heard: sign this petition to tell the new Congress to stand up against attempts to undo climate protections!
